TomTom Sat Nav

My christmas present was a HP IPAQ 2210, CF sat nav receiver (GlobalSat BC307) and a car cradle together with a TomTom3 license from work (legit).

After 2 weeks am delighted with the system although the mapping lacks the BNRR (affects a lot of the roads on my run to work), easy to use and clear instructions.

Simple to use and portable, would recommend. Havn't tried it in the A2 yet - maybe at the weekend.

Hi
I have a Tom Tom Go. Works fantastic .I tried this week to download the SAFETY camera positions into it ,and after a few hours got it working. You should be able to do the same .Its even easier on a palmtop. One word of warning though it relies on people to report back on positions , and the mobile site near us wasnt on it although its been there over a year now.Im sure most the gatso s would be on it, not bad for some free software that you can update. i also have a road angel which i have 100% faith in , never failed me yet.I dont really speed , but I started getting obsessed looking around for cameras and it drove me mad! Now i just enjoy the trip, as no other half navigating and no worries with cameras.
cheers

I looked at TomTom Go and decided that I may as well have a PDA as well for the same price!

Other half never learnt to navigate!

Dont go so fast that I have to worry about camera's unless I am on a road I know, and where there are none. What really pisses me off is the people on NSL roads that slow down to an indicated 50 (actual 45) when the speed limit is 60 and the camera probably set at around 75!

Pop on the Postcode Add-on with TomTom Mobile for your PDA and it makes Navigating a breeze.

TomTomGo has a Gyroscope in it. It's more accurate then a PDA with a GPS receiver.
