Hi to all members,need some info about suspen'sion top bearings? I have just recieved my koni fsd's from France, now need to make arrangments;re fitting of same and from what i've been reading a lot of people have had problems with springs snapping etc,one member mentioned that the top bearings often start to seize up, so whilst I'm at it may as well replace bearings @ same time as having the koni's fitted, I do need to know what the bearing part no's are; my car A2 1.4 petrol 2001 reg, (Dont trust the stealer's) wish Haynes had produced manual/book I can't get on with the disc/ version very well hope one of you can help, thanks in advance to you all, cheers Alan.

That may have been me - I said I suspected it on my car, but on inspection of the part removed yesterday it would appear not to be seized, and that the only problem was the broken spring. I did update the thread to try to avoid a suspicion being seen as hard information
Having said that, it would be a false economy not to replace them. They don't last forever, they have crud, salt and grit thrown at them whenever it rains (look at my photos) and cost a lot in labour to replace compared to their cost, which is only £10 or so each before discounts.
