Traction control, ABS and Brake Warning lights all on.

If the ESP light is on, you've lost all ESP functionality, including ABS.
Mac.
Thanks Mac, I was responding to Alfie's question, no issues with my car ... I had a scan by an independent VASS garage before making the journey home, it was showing as an intermittent ABS sensor fault before it completely failed many months later ... my own VCDS scan confirmed the failure and I changed all the sensors as a preventative maintenance.
All the best ... Tom

VCDS is not the only good scan tool however its very good especially for the cost of!
Fail to see how this fault code relates to an ABS sensor but rather the opperation/communication to the pump.
Check all fuses are good and present in correct locations.
If ok with Diag kit look at live data from all wheel speed sensors to see if any obvious defects are present.
ABS and TC/ASR/ESP are wonderful but cars can be driven perfectly fine with standard servo brakes only!

Hi Howey, I'm guessing you haven't followed the thread from the top ... without a fault code it was reasonable to assume that the warning lights were relating to ABS/ traction control/ brake pad wear as indicated by Alfie, I was relating my own experience under similar circumstances and was trying to be constructive, nothing more ...

No i had fully read the thread before posting myself.
Failing injector looms and brake light switches/bulbs can also trigger similar bleeps and lights of dread too!

I had the same warning lights come on, on our now sold 2001 TDI it turned out to be the air tempreature sensor in the intercooler !

My normal guy (based in Hounslow) has recommended I take it to one of his mates who is Gary at B&F Auto's, also in Hounslow. So I have it booked in with him.

I am replying to my own messages. How sad is that?

I took the car to Gary, all sorted plus a loan car. On the way home I got a brake pad warning light, which was not the pad. Gary lives not too far from me so is coming over one evening to fix it. So a recommendation for Gary at B&F Autos.

PS It was a sensor and wheel bearing on the NSF.

I had these very similar problems. As old as my sensors were they ended up not being the problem.

I purchased two new Abs Harnesses. Inside the engine bay I found an area with fairly easy access to were the abs harness cables run in from the wheel hubs. I cut them and wired in the new cables. I could see on one wire particularly all the way inside the engine bay was quite tarnished. I can only suspect it was the problem cable.

After this all my issues vanished.

Quite an easy job really. Cables were quite expensive though. £50 each maybe if I remember correctly.
