Trouble starting 1.4 petrol

Had trouble starting the A2 this morning, took a few attempts then finally started, then about 10 seconds later it cut out again. It's ok now and starts first time. Should I be worried?

Thanks

Was there any sign of key symbol on the dash suggesting immobiliser conflicts? The fact it ran suggests that maybe starved of fuel so could be a slight leak in line which causes fuel to drop back into tank so takes a moment to suck through.

Can you get a scan of the car?

Can't remember if the key symbol came on. No access to a scan unfortunately,

Was it a lightening strike again ? I would have a look at the throttle body as its common to need cleaning. Another thing to keep in mind is it could be the crank sensor showing early signs of failure. But all this is speculation a scan will hopefully shed more light.Hope its a glitch mike

If it was the immobiliser (key symbol) the car would cut out within a second of it starting, but it was worth checking that.

It can sometimes be due to a faulty temperature sender, but a scan would show if that is the case or not, perhaps there is someone local that might be able to scan your car?

Or if you can wait, perhaps at the meal?

Unfortunately I won't be able to make the meal :( my cars booked in with A2cars for its mot in April, so will have wait until then

Tony will be able to sort that out for you, in the meantime if it happens again try and make a mental note of the weather conditions etc. to help pin this fault down.
