twin cambelts ?

yep sure does---one small belt linking the two cams together and one longer one that links the crank to the exhaust cam.

It is in fact a good design.

Some DOHC engines do have one belt (or chain) and there are plus and minus points for both variants.

Understanding the workings of a DOHC engine design is complex, so a Google search might be a good place to start.
