In another thread (http://www.a2forum.net/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=3781 Stuart has said he's used Ultraseal (http://www.ultraseal.biz/home1.htm) in his new Smart Fortwo. I was wondering if anyone else has used it and can comment on it? I've done a few Google searches and there seems to be a mixed opinion about this product. A few queries I have are; does the wheel need rebalancing afterwards? Does this sealant block the air valve permanently? When changing tyres does the old sealant need to be cleaned off the wheels? Cheers for any information.

Wheel doesn't need rebalancing as the product stays liquid and forms a thin layer on the tyre when the car is in motion. I have heard reports from some smart owners that it causes wheel shake at motorway speed. Sealant doesn't block the valve. Tyre fitters hate it and some outlets will charge you extra for cleaning the wheels before fitting new tyres.

From the reports I have seen there are only balance problems if too much is put in. Re-balancing does not cure this - you have to take some out, God only knows how!
