Unable to change soft code on module (genuine VCDS)

I'm trying to change the soft coding of the convenience module of my 1.6 FSI. Using my cheapo ebay cable I'm unable to do this so just went down the the local Audi specialist sho has a genuine Ross-Tech VCDS cable and software.

He had the same problem as me - You go to re-code the software, type in the new value and click "do it". This takes you back to the previous summary screen where the coding is unchanged.

Logging out/in, ignition on/off makes no difference.

Can anyone shed some light?

Right then, with help from the Germans at http://www.a2-freun.de (and google translate) I've worked out why it wont let me remove function 8.

You have to remove functions 8+2, then it works.

Turns out you dont have to log-in to this module at all, you just have to re-code to something that is actually possible.
