I am sure that this is a pretty useless bit of information but I found it very useful recently.
I was wanting to put a personalised reg on a car and it was insisting that I entered the 11 digit code from the full page of the V5C and I only had the green slip (V5C/2). The code on that was 12 digits and so I was convinced that it would not work.
BUT I then figured out (by looking at other V5s I had), that the 11 digit number on the full page V5C is just the 12 digit number from the green slip but without the first digit !!
As I say, probably not much help but it might be useful?
