Hello everybody.
i have a 2000 a2 1.4 aua with about 126k on the clock, the last few weeks she has been a right pain in B***S with oil leaks, brakes engine lights,

Basically th e last week she has had a new oil and dipstick pipe, oil sensor, green oil pressure switch all new filters, new brakes disk and pads front, drum shoes and even the Teflon glides in the backing plates, plus a complete service, inc air fuel oil filters and plugs and leads,
i done the filters because i was getting error code P0170 Fuel Trim Bank 1 on a gen code reader on the hope that it might fix the error,
so yesterday was the first time iv taken her out since the work carried out.
iv have just been on a good 20mile drive to check every thing was running fine and every thing seemed to be going well. no engine lights etc. Ive then slowed down to turn into my drive and the car nearly stalls. so i dip the clutch to save her from stalling and for a few moment the idle was very erratic.
so iv got her in the drive now, and the dash looks like a Christmas tree abs epc and check engine lights all on, so i turn the car off and go get the code reader and do a scan but all it comes up with is p0170 again so i clear that and start the engine again
whilst the car is running i pump the brake peddle 4 times and release, on release the engine hunts and tries to die again, and then throws me ABS EPC and check engine, so plug code reader in, no faults recorded this time,so i turn the ignition off and turn the ignition back on again and the dash is clear.
so i do the pumping on the peddle again 1 2 3 4 release = hunting and dieing revs again it throws the same lights ABS EPC & Check engine, but still no stored codes.

so i open the bonnet now and check for obvious split or lose hoses and rushing air noises, all i see is a slightly damaged pipe going to the fuel pressure reg, so i cut that down 3mm to make good again, but whilst this hose was off, i can make the engine hunt and throw me the same dash lights epc abs etc all from blocking the pipe for a few seconds then letting a inrush of air and then blocking it again,

does any body have any idea why this is happening,
thank you and my apologies if this is in the wrong section
1st post yay :)

It may be worth checking the EGR valve piping and also if its clear and not full of crud. welcome mike
