I asked last week about the problem I'm having with my engine management light staying on. I was advised by members that I need to take it to get a vagcom.
As you are aware, Audi charges £55 to test the car, therefore I took it to a non-audi garage who did the test for me and charged me £35. Please advise if what he has advised is correct or not.
On the test 3 numbers came up showing 3 faults, the mechanic then analysed the numbers and he stated that the sensor, which I'm not sure the name of, that is attached to the exhaust was faulty and that this sensor probably causes the other 2 faults to appear. He said it would cost £120 for the sensor and to fit it and to reset the vagcom would be a total of £160.
Can anyone advise if what he has said is correct before I go ahead and get the work done. I would appreciate your advice.
