VCDS Oil Level vs DIS Level Warning

The DIS on my FSI is has displayed the low oil level yellow warning a couple of times recently. The (useless) dipstick tells me that there is still oil in the sump, and running measuring block 004, address 17 (Instruments) on VCDS is giving a live level reading of 56mm with the engine off and cold (against a low level of 31mm - rocking the car causes the live value to vary slightly, “Difference“ reading is 0). From what I can tell on a2-freund.de, this might actually be on the high side - possibly because I topped up a small amount of oil when the warning showed. The car has never used oil (aside from losing some recently when the oil pressure sensor failed, which I topped up without issue), and there are no sensor faults when scanned with VCDS.

If the oil level/temp sensor in the sump is faulty causing the low level warning, should the oil level read by that sensor via VCDS not also give a corresponding reading?

VCDS doesn’t show any relevant errors - what I don’t understand is why the low level warning is showing on the DIS whilst VCDS via measuring blocks shows an oil level 25mm over the minimum.

I know little about this and this post probably pointless, but have you cleared the fault code? Thinking it may be an intermittent fault and triggers warning on DIS and working again when monitored with VCDS but hangs around on DIS until cleared, like airbag warning considered serious and needs VCDS to erase DIS warning even though the sensor is working again.
