Yes,

better safe than sorry!!

Hopefully I will be in a position to take firm orders very soon, but I have to have the firm selling prices sorted first.

But we will be able to make as many as required, and this company seem to be turning them around quickly.

As I mentioned, they are now starting to produce the Jacking points and so I will be taking orders for them this week or next.

I would be interested in the kit, probably without spoiler, dependent on price. Thanks!
Hi,

Ok, your name is on the list as having expressed an interest, no commitments necessary until the final pricing has been sorted and they are ready to ship, so you can cancel at any time up to then if you want to.

Cheers

Hi there!

I can see it's been a while since your last post. I'd be interested in a full set without the rear spoiler.
Is there any place (website, fb page...) where I could take a look?
Thank you!

I am still not yet able to provide the Bodykit, it is a difficult one to have moulded. I am hoping to have a source for the rear spoiler soon, but the rest of the kit looks like it si not going to happen (I haven't given up yet though)

Hi Steve
Can I still join? I would be interested in the bodykit but also only the rear spoiler is fine.

Hi Steve
Am I right in thinking the rear spoiler will not fit the FSi?
thanks
chris
Almost correct.

I doesn't fit as it is but some members have managed to trim the original spoiler down to make the Votex spoiler fit.

So it is possible.

You always have the option of swapping the tail gate from a non FSI, if you don't want to cut the spoiler?

I almost gave up with the hassle I had over these, but I just heard today from a better supplier that he has some samples ready for me of the front and rea Votex style skirts.
I have another company that specialise in QUALITY manufacture and they have the rear spoiler mould at the moment and are going to provide a quote for the rear spoiler production. They will be more expensive, but a huge improvement in quality.

I will keep everyone posted on the progress.

Dear Steve B,

I joined the forum only for the Votex bodykit my name is Nick George and i live in the Netherlands.
Just bought me an a2 and coming of from a a6 that wasn't easy.
Driving this car for 3 days now and it gained my respect i love it!
But... i wanted to do some special and soon came across the Votex BK.(offcourse nowhere to be found!!!)
Could you please help me out or give me an update if you will be able to deliver?
I dont care mutch for the color since i can do it myself.

Best Regards,

Hi Nick

i will not give up until I have been able to produce these at a very good quality but it takes time.
I have done Moulds for the fromt and back “skirts” I have the first one to try out this weekend.
I have the rear spoiler mould fully ready but I am waiting for the company to make the first quality one. They are a good company and work to high standards and so they are very busy. I hope to have some news in the next few weeks.

To be honest, I am very confident that I will have done quality rear spoilers soon.

The rest of the kit will take a few months.

Hi Steve
I would like to show some interest in rear and maybe front spoiler please.
How long is fitting likely to take/cost ? Are there aerodynamic advantages or mainly cosmetic ? -love the look
Cheers

Fitting is pretty straightforward. The parts are bonded on over the existing bodywork.

Thrn it is prep and Paint.

There are no noticible aerodynamic benefits, it is just that is really is a good looking option.

I am am not into body kits normally but this one looks great.

I will update this thread frequently and contact all those that have expressed an interest, so you will get to know as soon as I have any news.

Hi Birchall, did you manage to get the jacking covers into production?

I have managed to 3D print some, they fit and are as good a fit as the originals (but even they could be a bit loose)

The finish from the 3d print process is not smooth and so they need a bit of sanding / filling to get the face smooth enough to paint.

But they are identical in fit and shape.

I can sell them for £20 each (£75 for a set of 4) but I do repeat that the faces need smoothing out and I recommend using a tie wrap (even on the originals) to save them from being lost again and even a dab of silicone to make sure they stay put.

The reason I can't sell them any cheaper is that it cost me £500 to have the originals scanned professionally (all four are different and the cost was times 4 for the scanning)

They also take 7 hours to print each one!!!!!
