Votex Style Bodykits

The good news is that I have had all of them smoothed and primed.
I get them back from the paint shop tomorrow.
Please message me your full name and address and I will get them off to you as soon as they arrive.

Steve B
They are now in stock and ready to go.

Message me your details and I will give you the paypal address.

Thanks
Steve B

The rear spoiler (unpainted) is £150 plus delivery. That is cost price too .

i have opted to only produce drilled ones now rather than I drilled ones (it is FAR easier to fill the drilled ones if you don't want the holes/bolts than it is to try and drill them).

They are are still slow coming off the production line so there is a queue. So please post your interest on the Votex style rear spoiler thread. (Search for Votex rear)
There is a £50 deposit required at time of ordering.

Cheers
Steve B
Are these spoilers still in production? I saw a picture you posted of your wifes car next to this and I think the spoiler looks awesome! I'd be interested in one in the future if at all possible. Not sure I could stretch to a full kit at the moment though.

Hi @thestable Steve B asked me to say that he is still trying to source a decent supplier of the rear spoilers, as the current source is quoting silly money (about 3 or 4 times above) per unit which is obviously insane. Sit tight, and all should come good.

*** Thinks - JRV could do with one of these ...

Ahh cool. I was just checking caking the trail hadn’t gone cold. I’m in no rush and even if I was I’m skint at the moment anyway. So can sit tight for sure. But please. Don’t forget about me....

Can anyone explain the Votex rear spoiler... how does it fit?
Is it simply a shell which slides over and is bonded to the original, with end caps screwed on?

Yes that is the case. I recall Tony at A2Cars (sadly no longer with us) telling me that he had a non-votex aftermarket spoiler on his vehicle. has anyone heard of another manufacturer who may of made this?

Great! Many thanks. In that case fabricating a shell should not be too difficult. Food for thought, when time allows!

I have the moulds to make a copy the Votex rear spoiler but I have been quoted £500 to make each one.
I am working on trying to find a cheaper production process.

They are glued on with body mastic and the side bolts are just also glued into place, the original spoiler that they are glued onto are very thin and so the bolts can't be screwed into anything.

I have produced several of these in the past, but they did need smoothing quite a bit before painting.

Tony had the ProjektZwo front end on his, not a bit fan of the front, but the rear was quite nice... and the wheels ;)

Steve whats the production process? Are the moulds to have fibreglass laid in?

It is lined in fibreglass and preferably foam filled to support the thin fibreglass skin.

If anyone is interested I might be able to sell the mould for £200 then you could take over the process.

Steve I will ask around contacts to see if anyone has realistic ideas.

Hi Steve,

I was wondering if there's any of the jacking point covers still available? It's just I'm looking at buying a used Votex kit but it's missing all 4 of the covers?
Sterling work by the way, if I could help you I would.

Thanks,
Iain

Perfect thanks for letting me know. I'll know by Thursday whether I'll need them or not, so fingers crossed I'll be back in touch.

Thanks again,
Iain

Hi iain
They are currently £50 a set including P&P.

Hi Steve,

After a lot of chasing and messing about I've eventually managed to buy that A2 with Votex kit so if there's still a complete set of jacking point covers available I'd like to put an order in.

Thanks,
Iain
