VSI Intervals on TDI

Am I driving my TDI to hard ?

The VSI is indicating that it will need servicing in 8,500 miles
and I've only done 3,500 miles. A big way off 30,000 miles....

Can the VSI go up as well as down ?

May be it's because my commute (12 miles) is too short.

What do you think ?

Yes, the VSI can go up as well as down. Mine has done this on numerous occasions.

2002, 1.4, azure blue, 2 tone leather, concert II single cd. Member of A2OC site.

It will go up. The default start is at 8700 and it goes down slight ly then starts a ballistic climbe to peak (in my case) at 30,000.
