WANTED Local Area Social Reps

WE are looking for people in all areas of the country to volunteer themselves
to help organize some local meets maybe once or twice a year in the area where
they live as a result of our social poll 3 points stuck out ......

(1) You all intend to attend an event at some stage .
(2) You would attend if there was an event nearer yourself .
(3) You would be interested in going to local meets .

Perhaps if we can help organize some social meets ,locally based then we will get to
see more of each other , that person that you waved at in an A2 just up the road may even be
a member of the a2oc and just could become a good friend ,Lets not
just rely on 1 or 2 National events a year .....
This approach seems to work well for most other owners clubs ....

I Think the social poll has been very useful in helping us with your wants and needs ,
this is your club and we would like you to use it for your own enjoyment as well.

So as i said before if anyone would like to volunteer themselves as an Area Rep
then please PM me .......

It Is My Aim To Make This Club A Lot More Active and i can only do this with
YOUR HELP .......

Come on people dont be shy ,
this is your chance to be part of the club
and help out with some social events .....

So far we have 2 volunteers for the
Beds, Bucks, Herts and Cambs areas so any of you lucky
people who live in these areas ,you can expect a Local meet
in your area in the non too distant future ........

If you would like to volunteer to help in your area with another
A2OC member thats fine just let me know the more the merrier ......

Skipton and I have been discussing some ideas for a possible club get-together to cater for nort eastern and western members. I'm personally not keen of touring round in convoy so the initial plan is to meet at a pub in the Yorkshire Dales (in the Horton in Ribblesdale / Pen-y-ghent area) In addition to meeting fellow club members, we will be offering VagCom diagnostic checks for a fiver to owners displaying the club window stickers (£10 without) and by prior arrangement you could may even be able to have cruise control fitted or your central locking set to anti-hijack mode. Other possibilities are a 'bring and buy sale (only for A2 bits) an A2 quiz and a low key 'concours' competition for the best A2 driven to the event
The date , which would be the most convenient Saturday or Sunday in August and the actual venue are to be finalised
If you know of a nice friendly pub, with a large car park, in the area or have any suggestions to make the event more enjoyable then please let us know

Hi Spike ,Skipton these are great ideas of which im sure will be very popular
and may even be worth driving that extra mile if you know what i mean ,
nice to see someone come up with some fresh ideas ........

I Dont know the Yorkshire area at all but i was Hoping that some one would
take on the area of the Peak District i know snake pass would offer some good
A2 Drives and there is a pub The Cat And Fiddle which would be a good place
to meet with a reasonable size Car Park ......

Hmmm, as a Yorkshireman living in the camp of the enemy, I'd rather be a North-West Rep than a Lancashire one!

I seem to remember HUWS66 has offered for Cheshire and district, so maybe the Cat & Fiddle would fall under his jurisdiction?

As for the bring and buy sale, I'd need an A8 Avant (if they did one) to get my bits along!

Im a Lancashire man born in Southport but now classed
as Merseyside and lived in Surrey for 10 years and now
Tied down to Wiltshire for 20 years (life) Perhaps you would
like to do The Trough Of Bowland A2 Drive
there are some real quiet pubs there LOL !!!!!
