Washer Fluid - Cold Weather - Windscreen Icing over

Hi,

I was wondering if you can buy something that you can put in with the washer fluid that stops the windscreen icing over when it has not warmed up.

For example I had de-iced it with a can, and it was quite dirty so I gave it a wash with the jets and it iced over again.. I only had some 1/10 or 1/100 concentrate flavoured stuff in which I got from Lldl, which is quite good.. waiting for them to have it in again, apple smelly. :D

you need real winter stuff, that will stay fluid down to about -20 or so. Shell's blue stuff used to be pretty good, we go through very little of the stuff here, but in Germany that was my weapon of choice.

The best and cheapest is to buy concentrated washer fluid you can mix yourself. Why buy water? :)

Yep, the Shell blue stuff works great as a cleaner and de-icer! It also has the same smell as Audi/VW OE washer liquid which is also excellent. They could be the same thing.

Just make it more concentrated when you make it up for winter. I get a job lot of the duckhams stuff from Costco.

It works out really cheap and the last time i bought was about 3 years ago
