Water/liquid on tray under gear shift

Have a taste of it - I think it'll be condensate, as today is poosibly the first day of the year in the UK when the climate will have been operating fully.

Cheers,

Mike

Fitted a new sidelight bulb today and noticed there was quite some considerable amount of water inside, on the gearshift area, and it was leaking over the road.. It appears to be the pipe which is very cold (air con)?

The pipe with the black label, and the top one in most cases, and the one with the knob and white audi sticker nearest to the coolant

Any idea what is the problem, apart from a small hole in the pipe?

It'll be condensate Richard - the big silver pipe carries cooled air from the intercooler to the engine and in warm weather, you'll get loads of condensation forming on it, which drips off around the gear change area.

Cheers,

Mike
