West London Audi?

Well the good news is that I've been confirmed as qualifying so have booked the car in for week of 25th Feb!
Will get it MOT'd by them at the same time and get the Audi MOT protection.
Cool!

Great news, Dan. The more A2s that go into their 2nd decade with the MkII OpenSky, the better! :)

Yeah, very pleased to have snuck in into the programme - especially as I didn't think my roof was bad enough to warrant replacing, but there you go!

I think this captures a dilemma for Opensky owners. With @ 2 years left on this warranty ( and I know this has been mused about before) it may be prudent for a replacement roof to be sought by those who still qualify.

Shame this would effectively mean engineering a fault on a working roof - but with the issue here being a design fault on the roof mechanism you do wonder whether its a 'when' as opposed to an 'if' it will go wrong.

Also find it very odd that only 2 dealers have been reported to offer this fix, with written evidence provided to Dan by a franchised dealer that its not covered.

With a Potential £2500 fix, or a brokensky alternative - those with keeper A2's in the 03 - 55 plate cadre maybe want to consider looking out the service records and planning a future trip!

The interesting thing is, Worthing Audi didn't ask at any point for the condition of the roof - if the roof was entirely broken, or what level of open and close ability it still has. I did send them the Health Check report done by WLA, but I wonder if the replacement programme therefore is just for any car with an OSS roof regardless of condition, so long as it qualifies by dint of age and service history?

Also I think there might be something in whether the replacement programme is a centrally-funded Audi Factory scheme, rather than an Audi UK Warranty scheme, but it does still seem bizarre that only Rinner Germany and Worthing UK seem to have dialled into it!

I'd be more than happy for you to re-use it - I'll speak to Worthing though to make sure they don't have to send them back to the factory or something like that.

Test case anyone?

Do we have a volunteer willing to make the call? :)

Criteria: (currently operating Opensky; within reasonable distance from Worthing (( or willing to make the trip)); full service history ; < 10yr old A2).

@Dan - would you be kind enough to ask Worthing for some details of this scheme. I'd be happy to speak with Glasgow Audi about taking this on for owners in the North of the country.
