Does anybody know if there is a modification available to stop water pouring through the drivers window when driving in the rain (I am a smoker)? I think I may need to buy some of those old fashioned plastic wind breaks, but not sure if anyone makes them.

Tell Audi to have a look at any Mercedes built since the early 80s... they have always had a channel there to stop the water from coming around and inside... I don't smoke but on a clean car the soap coming around the side is a major pet hate of mine on any VW/Audi product... So short answer apart from a proper redesign I don't know of an easy answer...

Those old fashioned windbreaks are made by the Exhaust Ejector Company, or you could, er..................give up smoking. That's the most economical modification. Ther's nowt worse than a reformed smoker!!!

Thank you for your advice, I have emailed the exhaust ejector company and will let you know how I get on. If all else fails I will consider giving up smoking!

Let me know how you get on. You could sell your ash tray and lighter on e-bay, to pay for the deflector screens. But then......you wouldn't need them. It's all getting too complicated. Happy new year.

I have now had an email from the Exhaust ejctor people who have advised that they only make replacement caravan windows now!

Anyone else got any ideas?

I think the only route is to stop smoking in your car (at the very least!) If we can't use mobiles whilst driving I think people shouldn't smoke either! <ducking and waiting for my 2nd slap after the one from Steve in the Carpark forum!>

Available from Audi Belgium. For a front set have a look at
http://www.shop.audi.be/product.asp...=33&plist=365,911,912,913,914&htm=product.asp

You could phone an Audi dealer in Belgium, order a pair, then take a cheap day trip to collect it. For 49.90Euro - £35 - that's cheap enough, especially as you can fill up the car for 60p/litre and fill up the boot with booze and cheap-ish cigarettes - 5Euros - £3 a packet - whilst you are there.

Alternatively have a look at
http://www.climair.de/_engl/index.htm
which is probably the people who make the parts for Audi Belgium (same photo as on the Audi website!)
