What's wrong here vcds lite

Hi guys. Hopefully someone can shed some light on the fault codes I am getting from my vcds lite.
I am not massively technical and on a fairly limited budget. Any suggestions / solutions would be really appreciated.
Ps my ABS and traction control light is on too.
Thank you in advance.

Hopefully someone can shed some light on the fault codes I am getting from my vcds lite.

That particular error is discussed here:

The first thing that you need to clarify is the state of your battery, since a battery that is less than 100% may well be the trigger here. But in truth, you need a full scan to start from. That will require you to either register your VCDS-Lite or find someone who can run the scan for you.

I've already offered to do that scan for you, and even to meet you part way in doing so. Perhaps you should consider taking advantage of that offer, assuming no-one closer to home can be found.

What is the state of your battery right now? There's little point driving up to Norfolk with a dying battery where VCDS will produce an endless list of faults as consequence. So what battery is your A2 fitted with, and when was it installed?

Do you have a good multimeter which can provide a clear indication of the state of your battery?

Hi Steve thanks for your response.
Can't see what power battery is but only LION brand high performance.
Not sure when installed as bought privately and didn't ask.
Ted I do have a multimeter

I think you can still read the battery voltage using VCDS Lite version ...

Lion are a battery brand very much at the budget end of the market, and not noted for long life. Batteries generally have a date of manufacture shown on them, could you post a photo of the battery in situ?

Hi Steve not at car now at work, but all you would see is the top of the battery. Which won't be much use.

Assuming your car has sat unused overnight, it would be really helpful if you could use your multimeter to check the resting voltage at the battery terminals before you start the engine up in the morning. That will give us a better idea of its real-world condition.

VCDS lite is useful to access some ECUs that are refractory to VAG-compatible code readers (air-con for instance), clearing errors and getting readouts of temperatures and the like - but has very little other functionality unless you have registered it or bought a full version.

Seriously - if someone with full VCDS has offered you a free read, I'd rip their arm off - that is both a suggestion and a potential solution on a budget. As commented, we have a Lion battery in our AUA-engined car - it has always shown notable voltage drop in winter compared to the VARTAs in my Tdi cars even when it was nearly new, so it is plausible that yours if not recent may be doing much the same which could be exacerbating any genuine errors because of ECUs throwing errors purely because of the voltage fluctuations (ie, just after starting, heated windows on, headlights on, while turning the steering wheel to get out of a parking space can be a killer). This was even worse before I cleaned the starter earth which improved things considerably since.
