Wheel Center Caps

Hi All,

I am looking to get some caps to go in the centre of my alloy wheels as they were missing when i bought the car. I have a 2004 A2 1.6 Fsi with 16" 5 spoke alloys. I am wondering if anyone knows what the part number is for the centre caps that i can use to get replacements?

Thanks in advance

Regards
James

If they are the standard SE six spoke wheels, the centre cap part number is 8Z0 601 165F but if they are five spoke as you say they must be either aftermarket or wheels off a different model, maybe 5 spoke TT wheels? You need to look for the wheel part number then someone will be able to help you out, or post a picture.

There was a set of chunky 5-spoke 16" alloys available as an optional extra. Very few people preferred them to the standard 6-spoke design and, as such, they're rare as rocking horse poo.
If indeed you do have these alloys and that they're not aftermarket as A2Z suggests, then I'd imagine that the centre caps are similarly rare. The dealership is probably your best bet and perhaps even only hope.

Cheers,

Tom

Thanks guys. Looks like i counted wrong. They are actually the 6 spoke SE wheels.
I have attached a picture to confirm. I guess the part number A2Z posted is the correct on then?

Indeed, those alloys have 6 spokes! :p They were the standard alloys on the SE.
Yes, A2Z's number should be correct.

Thanks for all your help guys. Now i can start sourcing a set as the wheels look rubbish without them

Around £20 a piece from Audi or TPS and new one's really transform your wheels and car too with having the nice highly polished outer ring.

Don't forget to ask for a cheeky discount.

I am in the middle of giving life back to a green A2. Only thing is that’s it’s petrol so might not keep it. It’s a 1.4 Can anyone tell me how much the tax is on it. At moment it’s sorn.

It might vary on year of manufacture, can you not go online and attempt to tax it, should get a price that way.

Pre-March 2001 (so W, X or Y plate) it will be £170 per year. Thereafter, taxed according to emissions, which you might need to look up on your V5C. But from memory when I was looking at it, it's around the same amount for a 1.4, the 1.6 FSI a bit more. Tax rates by emissions band are here.

Edit: Yes, the 1.4 petrol is in Band F so the same £170 per year. But the FSI (sample queried as of July 2004) actually has exactly the same emissions so the same amount.

Why sell? Is £170 a large amount to tax the car? I know TDI is £30 however, the petrol 1.4 has a good engine.... you may want to see what happens after the climate change COP26 in September to see government plans for taxation.... the £30 for your tdi just might become more expensive. Besides petrol should be okay for LEZs whereas the tdi’s might be stopped from entering the LEZs unless you pay a penalty. Keep the petrol on sorn if concerned.

Yeah I see what you are saying but it seems a massive jump from £30. Hardly ever drive my A2 always in my van unfortunately. Doesn’t help having another 2 cars on the road too.

I have a nice petrol Saab convertible, the tax for that is over £300, but nice motor. I also have a couple of vans.... wife complained that she had to go to a funeral in a van....?? so bought a petrol CS A2, she loves it, tax is £170. Also bought another CS A2, same colour but 1.6 fsi, pick it up soon but think the tax is same as 1.4 as it has same emissions. Will probably purchase another A2 next year.
