Where is the air filter on the Tdi?

Thinking of changing the air filter and had a quick look but can't see where it might be. Too cold out there at the moment to hang around so I came in to ask you guys. Serviced last year but don't see a air filter on the receipt although everything else was done and i've covered another 8k since. Thought it might be a simple 10 min replacement?

What mileage should the cam belt be replaced at? It was done first at 59k and are they good for the same again milage?

Many thanks

Nigel

Hi Nigel,

I'm by no means the expert, but I think the air filter is located somewhere around the front right wheel, underneath the Webasto, in a black cylinder. I'm not sure whether you have to remove the wheel arch liner in order to change the filter. Hopefully someone more knowledgable will come along soon, but I hope my vague information helps in the meantime!

Cheers,

Tom

Take off the undertray and its a black cylinder down in front of the offside front wheel. Pop the lid off and the filter pulls out.

Thanks guys, I had to replace a headlamp bulb and took the lamp assy out to do it and saw the filter below. Shame it couldn't be replaced down thru the top!
