recently had service on our a2 1.6fsi 03 plate left the garage done around 13 miles and hey presto engine management light? slight over reving! diagnostic result air mass meeter CHANGED IT went alright for a while then high rev low rev about 4 diagnostic reports and resets later they said its idle speed meeter 
. my friend came round with some carb cleaner and an asortment of diagnostic gadgets disconnected it cleaned it put it back together reset the engine management lihgt worked well for a day and the high reving came back with the engine management light came back both garage and friend diagnosed idle speed meeter. somtimes it happens when i start it somtimes just b4 temp gauge reaches half way also loads of power loss when driving can anyone help please . a.s.a.p response required as will be ordering part tomorow £390 cousin works for TPS so part will be orginal. can anything else cause idle meeter to over rev and make our family a2 feel like a tracktor.
