Which Liqui Moly no I need for the TDI injector cleaning

Ah yes! I had forgotten. Do you recall the approximate mileage when it was done?

Very gracious of you to accept the name change without complaint by the way Dave!

It would have been towards the latter part of my ownership if I remember correctly so she hasn't done many miles since it was done.

No quite different. The purge cleans the innards of the injectors and tandem pump and fuel lines. The tera clean removes carbon from the cylinders and valves and outside of injector tips

Both have there own merits

Hmm maybe I’ll get this done at the next service then.

Just resurfacing this - Has anyone tried running the car down to 0 miles and tipping a couple of litres of the stuff in the tank and seeing if it has the same effect? Probably a silly question and it needs to be done "properly" - I guess I'm a little reticent at the thought of accidentally exposing Audrey to an airlock in the fuel pipes...

I’ve run my TDi down to zero then driven another 60 miles (an issue with a station being closed - not a choice) and there was still fuel in the tank. When I topped up I still only got 31L into a 34L tank - plus filler hose etc.

You’d probably find there is still quite a lot of diesel still in the system to dilute things unless you drained the tank totally.

I have drained my tank from the fuel filter completely then refilled (after a misfuel) and had no air lock issue at all but appreciate that might have been luck.
