...I've had this issue since I've had the car so I'm guessing its with all A2's??

When turning on the climate control on whichever level/speed, it always manages to creep up and up. It doesnt want to stay at one level...does antone know why this is?

Am I doing something wrong or is the car not warm enough? I'm clueless, please help :confused::confused:

Thanks

Dev

Assuming you have it on auto it will, it automatically adjusts the output to reach the pre-set cabin temperature and after a while will settle down. On cold days the additional heater on a TDi kicks in after a few minutes and will have the same effect.

... with a petrol, if you set it on hi and 1 bar, additional bars will be added as the engine gets warmer.

The way to get it to stay stationary is to set a temp and hit Auto. Other than that, it will change until there's a temp reached similar to the one dialled in (so if it's on HI, it will keep blasting hot air until it's at 30C). Dropping it to 21 and two bars after it's warm will keep it halfway towards consistent, but not when warming up.

Make sense?

Am I doing something wrong

Hi Dev,

On my car it does not matter if Climate Control Auto is on or not. The fan speed has a mind of its own. From starting the fan speed will be low. When the engine warms up a bit the fan speed rises. When the set temperature is reached the fan speed can drop down and then rise and fall as it sees fit.

My view is to not worry about it. Let it do its thing...
