It is what I would have done. Besides insurance companies have an understanding and work together, it is your insurance that would deal with everything and it would become know as Knock for knock, your insurance will increase. Hence she is saving you money. Happy days😍
 
Relived to add I had a text yesterday morning from the other driver - On reflection I'm willing to go to £700... - I phoned to confirm no insurance companies? Yep, she's also concerned they'd write her car off, too... So I guess a bit of patience, no leaning in and a some compromise finally won thru'

Thanks for everyone's input. Made for an interesting few days. Of course I still have to start the quest to find matching parts... Anyone know of a Mauritius Blue (pearlescent) donor cars coming up? I'm tempted by this one - AUDI A2 SPECIAL EDITION which is pretty much an exact match, even down to mileage.
