Wind Deflectors

Anyone tried Wind Deflectors on their cars?

Just wondering whether or not to invest in some and wanted some opinions on them before buying.

I had a misting problem within the car one day, so to clear the rain water and mist off the door window, I opened it before setting off. I set my wipers as it was raining and got soaked when they flicked all the windscreen water into the car, onto the door panel and electrics and of course me!!!

Which resulted in the alarm and electrics going heywire and a big hefty bill for me!!!

Any advice on how to solve this or stop it occuring again, my thoughts were to get wind deflectors??

wind deflectors(info).

Hi John, few pointers to look out for, HEKO seem to be the best ones to purchase by EBAY but watch out as they are advertised in two ways; 1st (set of two deflectors) 2nd a(four set of deflectors) i would recomend purchasing the (4 set )as postage is about the same for either, and if you purchase a two set, HEKO will not sell the other two (Rears) if you later decide you want them!. I am very happy with my deflectors and they do help keep the car clear of 'misting, also cure the problem you have mentioned reguarding ingress of water etc, they also help in curing the 'buffeting noise' with the windows down that you get in standard car. One other thing you can sometimes get is: when raising the windows fully they occasionally drop down a little due to the slightly tight fitting of the space at fully closed! this can be 'cured' by spraying around the window felt which helps 'easing in on' closure, do not use (wd 40) just some furniture polish with silicone in it, hope this is of some use to you + all A2 owners,
Cheers Alan.
