Hi everyone my drivers side front window got stuck the other day and then wouldn't go up or down you could hear the motor turning though, so i took the door card off and could see behind the motor that the metal wire that goes around the cog had come off, so i reapplied the wire around the cog put it all back together tried the window and nothing happened still could here the motor though so stripped it down again and the wire had come off the cog again 
so i was wondering do i need to get a new window regulator or is there anything else i could do to repair the window without spending £100 on a new regulator, if anyone has had this happen to there car i would like to know how you fixed it or if anyone knows how to fix please post thanks all help much appreciated thanks again
