Window wiper cover thingy

Lol. I painted mine and I'm very much a novice. Starting to see a little orange seeping from the rivets already tho.

Ditto - only after a matter of a few weeks and I lacquered as well. Lesson is that unless you strip back to constituent parts then I'm guessing it will always come back.

The rust and oil leak out of the gap in the joint due to the wear
There is no way to stop this other than remove the post lay by fitting over sizes rivet pins and teaming the bushes out until they are round

I quite like the look of those wiper covers and I too am suffering from some scruffy wiper rivets on both my A2's. They're both fitted with the newer style aero wipers but if it was possible to make something similar to fit securely, even if they needed a bit of sanding and finishing, I'd definitely be interested.

Is it a simple thing to design and print in 3D or does it take quite a lot work to get right?

Kennedy.

Takes a fair bit of work as difficult to measure as mainly curves. I am working on it nearly there will share on this thread when pictures are available.
