Wing mirror glass

Quick question - how do you pop the wing mirror glass out?
My driver's side mirror heating isn't working, thought I'd check to see if it was actually connected before doing anything else, and don't want to break it!
 
Use the controls to move the mirror all the way inwards towards the car and maybe all the way downwards at the same time.This should make a gap big enough to slide a flat headed screwdriver in behind the plastic mounting plate and pop it off.

Two black wires should be running to the connector on the back of the glass.

You'll find it easy once you give it a try.

Please dont use a screwdriver to pop it out - a finger works so much better and there's no chance of shattering it in the process (there's a very real chance with a metal implement).

PS undo the 2 lower T20 screws to remove the lower part of the housing and it makes the job even easier.
 
I use a plastic tyre lever for bicycle. It's flat and broad, it doesn't hurt the glass edge.
