Wiper Arm

I see @depronman offers exchange wiper arms.

Can you upgrade the wiper arms, my car is 2000 and wondered if the updated arm was backwards compatible. Is it any better or is it just worth exchanging like for like? Mine judders on the downwards pass.

Are LHD exchange items available?

Yes the floppy arm is retro fittable. You will Have to ask Paul about LHD versions.

Another improvement here often quoted is to swap to the later oval washer jet nozzles, but you will need to find and swap the scuttle to match, not easy as nobody likes to post as it is long and fragile.

The OP isn't in MK these days, although the profile still suggests so. He's now in Spain, and indeed has an LHD car.

Andy, I would beg to differ. Smurf has the fan type jets and I far prefer these to the 4 jet nozzles!

The wiper arms are interchangeable all be it with a blade that suits the arm
I have no LH drive arms in the refurb pool and would imaging that the cost to ship to Spain would be as much as the wiper arm is worth so not really a realistic option for the refurb program
However I’m happy to refurb the LH drive arm if it is sent to me

Thanks. Yes I am working in Spain for the moment so what better car to tootle around in. Had to send my car back to the UK as got fed up of plod stopping me - easy stop with UK Plates.

I'm sure I can find something in a scrappy here, might take a while to find something that isn't wrecked like everything else they have!!!!

I'll get one from a scrappy here, I'll bring my spare home and send it upto you when I finally get back to the UK, you can have a spare LHD one in stock then
