Martyn at VAG parts told me at Castle Combe that he can supply, but has not answered my e-mailed request. You try and let me know if you get a reply. He is usually very helpful and efficient.

I bought mine (floppy type) from an Audi dealer. Had to try 3 dealers before I found one that had any in stock. Halfords should stock the old style one.

Only available as an entire unit. No replacement blade. approx £9 each if I remember correctly. If they are not fitted as standard then you must but the arm as well. £50 all in seems to ring a bell. They are MUCH quieter and wipe better.
The A3 ones are just as quiet and just as good wipers.[35]

I found the replacement on EBay. Was 9EUR + transp. The blades works quite well... (in the package comes 2 big (75) and one small - i don't know exactly what for) :)[B)]

I replaced my blade with one from Audi because it was juddering (around 12 UKPounds). It's a 2004 model car with the "floppy wiper". Now the new one judders and squeaks too. I have cleaned the screen, no help. Now I tried Rain-X which makes it better but not brilliant. Any suggestions other than moaning at Audi - a dead loss in my experience!

New windscreen ;)

Well. It worked for me!

My wipers were horrible too. Partly due to age I think (been on there for at least 35k km) , but also partly because I had the remains of Rain-X on my windscreen. Rain-X is fine in the beginning, but wears off very fast IMO, leaving you with a windscreen that does not seem to dry but stays covered with tiny droplets instead. With local spots the reacts different... horrible.
Try and get the Rain-X off (when you think it wears off).
Maybe get the angle of your wiper adjusted too.

My windscreen had taken the hit of stone last summer and I got it replaced almost 2 months ago. Plus a new wiper. Wow, never seen a wiper work that well! And it still does, 6000km further down the road (with lots of rain and dirt on the road).
So just wait until you catch a stone too and have it replaced by the insurance company....(you do not have to take that serious, you know...)

Any idea where you can get new wiper blades without having to buy the entire unit?

Jossi from Norway here!
The company frensh VALEO make wiperblades that fit ALL wiper-units. And also from Germany: SWF .
Just find the right length. Merry Christmas!!!;)

Jossi here! Forgot to mention that VALEO & SWF blades are of the excact same type as the Bosch Aero Twin. Only with an other attachment device!

Wiper Blade Judder.
Audi have a service tool (p/n 3358) to check and adjust the angle of contact between the wiper blade and windscreen. Ideally this should be checked before a new blade is fitted so you could try asking the dealer to check this when buying the wiper.
For info, this info is listed in the on-line ERWIN maintenance manual.

Just been to the Audi dealer for our A6 and enquired about a "floppy" for the A2. Apparently not available and a mod is available for the old type. Anyone know whether this is true? or have I been fobbed off - again!

You have been fobbed off, I was told that I could only have what the computer said I could have. No really!!! So I went to Vag parts, no probs.
