Wiper motor

I am ok Paul, the help I have received has sorted out all my problems. I hope you can cancel the delivery, if not please deduct the cost from my deposit after I return the old wiper arm.

No way. It was my error not yours

I thought it was worth asking in case you ordered a pair of check straps next week etc
Please leave a note with you name and PayPal details on it in the box with the old wiper arm

Cheers. Paul

thanks Paul, I seem to have all the bits I need now. i am sure I will need your services in future as I get used to owning and driving the car, my only plen now is to refurbish the headlamp glass and add better output bulbs.

Well that was a saga to remember. My long dark journey into night has ended, yesterday Tom fitted my refurbished and improved windscreen wipers. The heroic members, who’s knowledge of the A2 surpasses that of most professional mechanic, have solved the mystery of my failed wipers. My garage couldn’t help and even managed to bend a component when replacing the bonnet, again this was spotted and fix on top of the actual repair. Parked up for six months close to the sea and salt air, the wipers had rusted and seized up burning out the motor leaving me stranded in heavy rain. A temporary fix and a spare motor let me go on a 200 mile journey in even worse weather conditions, now, not only is everything done and dusted a piece of internal trim broken by the garage was also replaced. Most owners clubs seem to have an elitist membership, usually confined to expensive restoration of past very expensive marques beyond the pockets of us mortals. Here we have a little car that has worked it’s way into our hearts and a determination to keep it there. I salute you all.

Thank you for the kind words and just happy to help out. Gave me a nice break from writing safety data sheets and have a chat

Tried the bad earth route .No luck there.Have found the relay marked 602.fuse ok .washer motor working. RAC arriving in an hour. Looks like wiper motor or relay. Hopefully breakdown will identify problem. Raining now so glad I didn’t move. Cheers David
