Removing back seats

We are going on holiday and have to take two dogs one large and one small. Does anyone know how to take the back seats out of the car as the boot is so small the pug would be cramped.
 Many thanks

Hello.

Maybe I don't understand the question correctly but,
Maybe just read the manual in your glovebox.

Fold the seats together strongly. Pull hard at the handle of the back of the seat. Lift the seat up and pull it out (one inch to the back, then upwards).

I assume you have the two seats not the bench seat?

1) release the back of the seats using the catch on top of the seats.

2) I find it easier to remove the head rests. Fold the seat forward.

3) when the seat is flat, there is a handle in the back of the seat base. Pull this handle. The seat should pop out of the brackets.

4) lift the rear of the seat up and forward. The seat should lift up and off.

Refitting the seat

1) locate the seat in the front brackets. Pivot the rear of the seat down.

2) push the rear of the seat base down. It should click into the sockets.
You may kneel on top of the seat to get it to click into place. You may need to pull the handle while kneeling on the seat.

3) when base is located lift up the seat back and click into place.

Job done:D

I hope this makes sence lol

Cheers

David

Just a word of caution. If you have a bench seat it really needs two people to get it out without chipping your paintwork. It is quite heavy. If you have the split rear seats you'll need to put a fair weight on the folded seat before pulling the handle.

I do suggest you try to get the handbook from your dealer ;)
It is part of the car and should never be removed, even when selling the car!
But me and the others told you how it works. :)
