A DIS instrument cluster is still available. It is for a 2000 - 2001 TDi . My A2 is a 2001,TDi. However, the display part no for sale is :- A2 TDI DIS INSTRUMENT CLUSTER CLOCKS 8Z0 920 980 X, and using my chassis number, the appropriate component for my A2 is 8Z0 920 980 JX. I wonder exactly what is the significance of that additional "J" character? .... How could I find that out? Who do I contact? .... or do YOU know?. Would it be possible to re-program the cluster? Is there any way it could be made to function in my vehicle? Thanks, again ...

1999-2000-2001 have k-line, not CAN. So it is fundamentally incompatible IMO.
