I’ll bear that in mind Steve! I’m thinking we will strip everything and stash it in the attic in boxes. There’s Jim’s A2, we now have 3, my brother has 1, and Friend Helen now has t black one I did for her, so to have a full stock of spares is probably wise. The Fsi bits I will save for someone on here that wants them. I think the engine may be ok as it’s almost silent when it’s running.

Sounds like a good plan. @Evripidis is looking for an engine
 
@datsundrew Hi, can you please shed some light on the engine part. I have had some input from Ami about an engine this week too. I would like to get the a2 sorted this summer as it is sadly deteriorating and I have put a lot of effort in it. I can arrange pickup on a pallet and there are some extra bits that I'd need that can go on it. Maybe you can PM me with information and a post code that I can get a quote from the shippers.

I’ll send you a pm shortly, I’m in no hurry to get it apart, but would be happy for you to come and remove the engine, where are you? If you were to take it out ( obviously we have tools and a hoist) in that way you could get any Fsi specific parts you need?

It would make a nice break and a great joy for me to visit the UK again...I am in Cyprus for better or for worse!
