Ah, so Chris has left? That might explain why the thank you email I sent him wasn't replied too. I thought it was odd not to get an acknowledgement, as they seemed a professional bunch...
Having just read this entire thread, it looks as if many Open Sky owner have had a real result with Worthing Audi. Great work guys. However, being the owner of a 10 year plus A2, this doesn't apply to me. Does anyone know how to get a skyroof fixed for less than the price of the car!
Are Worthing still taking care of cars with full Audi history and open sky issues? I have an 03 SE with open sky not working, but full Audi history at Audi Wimbledon, last serviced just in March. Its a long way for me to go but if it can be sorted it would be worthwhile.
It depends on whether the goodwill has run out at Worthing Audi, Audi UK or Audi GMBH i.e. worldwide. If it's a local change of policy after (or because) Chris left Worthing, you shouldn't have any problems. If it's an Audi worldwide change of heart, you might be on a sticky wicket.
You could always try contacting Audi in Germany to ask them how strict the less than 10 years old rule + full Audi servicing is...
I have made the trip to Rinner.
I would recommend you get in contact with them immediately. Do not have your car serviced before you go as Rinner will require you to purchase a LongLife service in order to get the goodwill on the OpenSky system.
They will want your vehicle indentification number and will run a few checks, but you certainly don't need to have immaculate Audi service history. My car certainly doesn't, and hadn't been serviced by Audi for a few years prior to its trip to Rinner, but they didn't mind at all.
Good luck,
Tom

Has the Worthing goodwill started to wear a bit thin? My '03 has full history with the last one stamped 9 months ago...But, in 2007, it was presented 5 weeks late for it's service. (The preceding one was a Longlife). This anomaly/oversight is deemed to be outside the remit of the 'goodwill' scheme. I was quite prepared to have a Full service as part of the deal, but no, the manager was quite adamant. So no new OSS for Squeezed loaf.
All is not lost, i guess; maybe I should pursue the Rinner route before the car reaches it's 10th birthday.
