Hi all, newbie A2 owner here. I have recently bought a 1.4 tdi (bhc, gpk gearbox ) A2 with 200k on it. It has a noisy release bearing. I have a scissor ramp and tools to replace 3 part clutch.
1. Can it be done using rubber pads to support the body whilst removing gearbox ?
2. What else do people advise to replace doing this job ? I've heard the "top hat"sleeve is worth replacing, plus the gearbox oil. Anything else ?
Great forum here btw.

Pretty much it, is the box original might be worth getting a JDD and a remap?

Gina on YouTube does a great video!

Gina's videos are really good. The sleeve (top hat) for the release bearing costs £23+vat from tps.
