Hello to one and all,
i have this very weekend just purchased an A2, i have been looking for one for a while and then saw one parked and looking slightly unloved on the side of the road and then stopped, haggled and bought it - who in their right mind does this? i have been given the one eyed slightly closed look sideways look after buying it by the wife....
have i made a mistake? possibly, as it's startup can only be described as a poor firing diesel but it's a petrol and perhaps this worries me as i may have shot myself in the foot
as for the car, i have always seen the odd one about and thought i wouldn't mind one of those and having read they are a labour of love which aren't made any more i wanted one even more - my previous vehicles include a 1966 ex-army heavy wrecker and heavy locomotive
do i like it even though the 1600 engine is at present like a wet blanket powered by an asthmatic toad breathing heat into the engine via extra strong mints? YES - i am sure it can be sorted and amongst the array of new metal in the works car park i will be the one laughing my socks off every time i drive this thing -
I will be looking for little help as the days and weeks tick by hence my reason for joining this club but I do see myself keeping this little quirky thing for a while
