2010 RNS-E running in A4 mode with a full DIS car and full voice control

Hi folks,

Yes, in order to achieve seamless, OEM-style integration, a MFSW is a necessity.

I have never done such an installation on a car with a more modern MFSW with roller controls rather than push buttons, though I see no reason why it wouldn't work.
Cheers,

Tom

Hi Tom

i definitely need DAB.
There are some stations i want to use that are only on DAB.
Hopefully i can also remove my poor signal reception at the same time by using the DAB stations and the DAB aerial/s that i assume come in the kit.

I can then let you know what happens about the more modern MFSW controls.
I too think they should be ok because they basically operate in the same way.
The roller controls mimick a button snyway but just as a quicker option.

We will see what happens when i get the kit.
I was hoping it would not need any additional loom, but i will see.

DAB swerve: I know this won't suit some, as it isn't an integrated solution...

I access digital radio channels using the BBC iPlayer app (or radioplayer app) on my iPhone and listen to that on my car audio system using the DICE I-Audi-R/5V iPod adapter which Mike (Skipton01) fitted for me in 2011.

I could do with DAB too - the FM reception on my car is pretty patchy on my main drive to work and back.
