Get a can of brake parts cleaner with a nozzle on it. Protect ALL the plastic interior trim in the area to prevent the cleaner discolouring and softening the plastics, also ensure your eyes are protected.. Peal back the loose headliner then spray the exposed surface with a reasonable amount of cleaner trying to get all the area covered. While holding the fabric away from the liner wait about 30 seconds for the cleaner to "reactivate" the glue. Now gently stretch the liner back into position making sure it tucks over the upper edges. Hold in place and using a colour fast cloth rub the area to improve the bonding. If there are multiple areas do not try to do them all at once just work your way through them.
The brake cleaner will evaporate off leaving no smell or residue. Usual disclaimer try a little area first to get used to the proceess and ensure you are happy with the dry results.
