A2 1.6FSI Fuel issues, poor running off cylinder

Fact, I double checked and one of the VCDS team says so here

Oops didn’t see Andy’s reply
Yes, I can understand that clearing a DTC related to fuel trim would reset fuel trim, that's logical, but in the @999fire example, there are no DTCs pertaining to fuel trim, indeed, no engine DTCs at all.
I can't see that sending a Clear DTCs Command, when there are no DTC, current or historical, will do anything at all.
More to the point, with no DTCs, and no EML, why would there be any suspicion of a fuel trim related problems?
The thread title, and content hints that it feels like a problem with one cylinder, so seems unlikely to be fuel system related, to me, anyway.
Mac.

It says on the post I linked that

Clearing the fault codes should reset them… Even if there are no fault codes to be cleared.”

I don’t think it relates, in my previous reply I said that I was just writing that in response to the suggestion 999fire had from ASNU
I’m just writing this in relation to ASNU suggesting you reset the fuel trims, it’s bears no relation to what Mac and others have suggested, which are the next steps to think about as the car still doesn’t sound like it’s running right 👍

Good Afternoon,

It strikes me a check to see if fuel trims are reset when clearing codes even when no codes is...

1. Observe Measuring Blocks 32.1 and 32.2, expect to see non-zero values.

2. Clear codes.

3. Repeat 1 and if now zero fuel trims have been reset.

Andy

Yeah this is the case, at least on my FSI

I didn't read the Audi World post, only the Ross-Tech bulletin @Andrew linked to, which didn't suggest that a Clear DTCs Command would reset fuel trims, when there were no DTCs.
Apologies for not following your link, have now, and it relates to a 1.8T also.
I'll take a look Group 32 on my FSI, when I get a chance, and post the screen shots.
Mac.

As promised, here's screen shots, before and after a No Fault, Clear Fault Codes.
Not obvious, to me anyway, if there has been a reset, or not ...
The Group 107, Block 02, Lambda Control Bank 1 figure was constantly varying, guess it's dynamic.
Mac.
