A2 ownership.

@ rob earl. The wheels really were that bad. I know they are prone to kerbing but not every time you park. They looked like he's driven along a high kerb coz the entire face was covered! The pics on autotrader are taken from a distance with no interior pics so a prospective buyer can't see the mess he's made. He was after a quick sale as well because he was emigrating to australia so you'd have thought he'd have made an effort to get the interior valeted and the wheels re-furbed which he was talking about doing when we were leaving. He didn't give a **** basically.

Thanks for the info

I collected my A2 last week, after seaching for one to my preferred spec. for 3 months. I know it is far to early to speak with authority, but I am totally smitten.
At the weekend I collected a secondhand 8x6 greenhouse in it, complete with staging that was still assembled!

Keep up the good work with the site, it helped me to purhase with confidence, even having read about the potential problems:)

Hi ptr, welcome to the A2oc
It's good to hear you you found the Club web site useful.

New members regularly ask for advice on the purchase of cars so perhaps we should dedicate a section to a used car buyers guide with copies of the price list and spec sheets for each model.

Cheers Spike

Good idea Spike. :) That would have helped me. Perhaps a sticky topic or FAQ in General discussion with sections such as:

i) What is great about the A2
ii) What is not so great about the A2 (that will be a short list ;) )
iii) What to look for when buying second-hand

Hear, hear! I'll second that! Great idea - really useful - would obviate a lot of fairly repetitive posts (from newbies like me ..!)
