A2 Petrol 500,000 km still on same engine and clutch

I've seen that video before, really great result and what's even more surprising, the clutch is still going at 320k miles, on my A2 that gave in completely at 163k, which was still not that bad.

I bought a clutch to put on the shelf ready but it looks like it could be a long time sitting there ! I wonder if the flat land in Holland and long daily runs have helped that clutch last so long.
