Steve .. 60 A2's ? you must know these cars inside out..I'm just dipping my toe into A2 ownership. If it's ok could I possibly pester you for advice as I'm not a million miles from you.

Dropped a deposit on a 1.4tdi A2 on Sunday just gone. It'll be my first ever A2, reason for purchase is basically a cheap daily for an 18 mile commute on the M4 here in Wales - Starting a new job December 1st with no company car
I've always owned VAG cars for new and old since the early 90s (petrol engines only) and still do own various models, but the A2 with its tiny 3 cylinder TDI engine will be a first for me as it ticks all the boxes for my needs.

Looking forward to learning more about the car, sorry in advance if I pester the group with questions that may have been covered a million times over the coming weeks and months .

Hehe, this is a blast from the past! My breaker mentioned in post #3 is now long gone, apart from odd bits of it stored away. My first A2 survived a few wobbles as to whether I was going to keep it, has since been refreshed mechanically and upgraded inside, and has now seen off numbers 2 and 3 that I owned concurrently. I did finally get hold of a heated Platinum leather interior with number 4 though, now resplendent in the garage :)
 
I currently own 6 A2's at the moment 5 of which have full Votex bodykits and sports leather/alcantara interiors and a nice project dolphin grey 1.4SE flip car but in total I've had 33 A2's in the past 3-4yrs 👌

But imagine having an extra 30 odd bhp and no reliability issues, still with the light steering, gear change and free revving engine :)
 
Last weekend yet another A2 followed me home. I cant really explain the logic in this. We already before had more than we can possibly bring to a social even if we would mobilise all family members with a driving license.
But how could I resist an Azure 1.2TDI?
