Does anyone do an aftermarket air filter for the A2? I used to fit K&N ones to my Mr2 and Fiat 127 Racer and found them superb.

Also on variable servicing surely the air filter gets clogged up over 30,000miles?!

K&N has also aftermarket air filters for the A2.

Some think I am genius,
Others just can't think...

Hello everybody!

This is my first posting, please excuse my bad english - i am german :D

There are some more possibilities to change the airfilter system of the A2.
I would like to know what you think about this link:
http://www.atb-tuning.de/luftfilter/index.php?

Please choose AUDI at the Hersteller auswählen menu and A2 for the next menu. By choosing ANZEIGEN you´ll see the results for that query.

They also got chiptuning kits for the A2 TDIs.

How accessible is the airfilter on the A2?

Are you coming to the club social?

OK, I'm an ignoramus and don't touch the mechanics of cars (never have) so I have no clue what all this means. What do these filters protect and why would you want to change them?

Same here! Does it make the car go faster, quieter or greener? [?]

Floppy wiper does the job of looking good already! Maybe this filter needs a hole through the bonnet like some American Muscle cars... so you can see it vibrate as you rev the engine? If you need to push holes through the carpet for the cupholder thingy I don't see why holes through the bonnet can't be done either! :D

:D nice suggestions :D

The open airfilter lifts the hp a little bit and produces more sound.
Some people say it also saves fuel ... I used this sort of filters in my Honda Vti. To my opinion the acceleration increased while the top speed lost about 5-10 km/h.

The way air filters work is that the more air that can get into it the richer the fuel mix thus leading to increased bhp, usually between about 3-11 bhp.

Off topic slightly but by removing a standard exhaust and replacing it with a stright through system, bhp can be increased by about 5-20 extra horses. The less obstructions in the way of gases the greater the power gain. Although this type of system usually results in an mot failure on emmisions.
