I've seen a lot worse! This must mean all your other buttons are also A1 condition 
I think the soft touch buttons are the thing that lets the interior down on our A2.
Sounds like you had a garage fit it. I hope they didn't charge an arm and a leg. It's a few seconds to change it but the switches are expensive. The fuel flap switch cost me £21 in 2017. I see the motion button is still available at Audi Tradition at EUR 27.68 I believe these buttons are unique to the A2 as they curve around the B pillar.
