Has anyone considered that a lot of A2s are 15 years old or over. Am I wrong in thinking airbags only have a 15year lifespan?
Are we all going to have to replace our 'wheels shortly or are there newer replacements for the A2 wheel?

As far as I know you can still buy them new rather than replace the whole wheel.

But a very good point!

I have wondered that same point. All info I have seen says Airbags have a 14-15yr shelf life, probably due to the explosive charge chemicals breaking down. So I am surprised that its not part of the MOT to check the age of an airbag.
