Are the prices of our a2's finally rising?

As Darko says re Norway you have to factor in the tax regime. When I lived in Denmark many moons ago the taxes basically doubled the price of the car from the dealer ex-tax price. So you had silly games whereby a new car came without a radio but you couldn't buy a car without a radio being fitted by the dealer. The radio cost an arm and a leg but didn't attract the heavy taxes on new vehicles. It was a trick to keep the base price as low as possible.
Off topic, I know, but years ago we were considering buying a brand new VW Polo. In the UK there were three trim specs; in Ireland (another RHD country) there was one base model with optional extras. I don't know what the reason for that was: I suspected inflating the retail price in the UK.

Just for fun and to make you all feel good paying fair price for your lovely A2, here's Norwegian car import tax calculator to play with, in English :)

https://www.skatteetaten.no/en/Pers...icles/import-car/calculate/calculator-import/

Just done that. Used 331 for NOx (from German website). Total taxes is 66 203 NKr (5,435 GBP) consisting of:

2400 NKr - 197 GBP scrapage fee
13781 NKr - 1131 GBP registration fee
50000 NKr - 4105 GBP vat

Why the vat should be payable again I don't know. Without the vat it would be 1328 GBP

Additionally the annual motor vehicle tax for diesel vehicles without a factory-fitted particulate filter if you import the vehicle before 1 July is

3135 NKr - 257 GBP

Since Norway is not in EU, the VAT is charged on anything imported, started from reather low value, a few hundred NKr, don't remember how much. I have paid 25% VAT on used guitars and amps bought in US and UK...

I already spotted the very high asked price for some German A2's... (but "asked" is not "payed" !)
It looks like it may be the good time to put up for sale my A2 that has no more use.
I can even advertise it in Germany, I'm only 30km far from the German border :)
