Boot 12volt outlet.

I know the traditional place for the boot mounted 12volt outlet is here IMG_0184.jpeg
However is there any reason why it should not be mounted on the opposite side?
 
A kind member sent me a drawing of the measurements for the location of the cut out. I seem to have misplaced it.
I wonder if they would be kid enough to resend or re-post.

For the nearside whis is where I cut. Just check your socket dimensions before cutting!

Hello Bob,

That’s really helpful Sir. I’m sure Steve @A2Steve sent me something similar a few years ago when fitting the luggage space socket in Project OEM.

When I mentioned the other day that the 12v sockets were on sale at AT, @A2Steve reminded us that you need the fixing bracket behind and that he then had a spare.

Alternatively I mounted a standard 12V round socket one here:

I fitted this socket to facilitate a PV panel to charge the A2. During lockdown the battery would gradually become weaker due to the alarm system being on 24/7. I did consider a OEM socket but this would necessitate removing the left boot panel that goes over the rear nearside wheel, and I read...
